A fireplace addition to a 1908 home incorporates an efficient wood-burning insert into a traditional oak and marble surround.  New casements flank the fireplace, installed where an old double-hung window and a large cast iron radiator were located.  Radiant floor heat was retrofit below the lving room floor to replace the radiator.   On the exterior a brick veneer chimney completes the authentic look.
